Monsanto's most recent trend suggests a bearish bias. One trading opportunity on Monsanto is a Bear Call Spread using a strike $115.00 short call and a strike $125.00 long call offers a potential 10.99% return on risk over the next 22 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bear Call Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were below $115.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $0.99 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $9.01 would be incurred if the stock rose above the $125.00 long call strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the short-term momentum for Monsanto is bearish and the probability of a decline in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Monsanto is bearish.
The RSI indicator is at 25.5 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

Monsanto seeks retraction for report linking herbicide to cancer
Tue, 24 Mar 2015 19:26:03 GMT
Reuters – Monsanto Co, maker of the world's most widely used herbicide, Roundup, wants an international health organization to retract a report linking the chief ingredient in Roundup to cancer. The company said on Tuesday that the report, issued on Friday by the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), was biased and contradicts regulatory findings that the ingredient, glyphosate, is safe when used as labeled. “We question the quality of the assessment,” Philip Miller, Monsanto vice president of global regulatory affairs, said on Tuesday in an interview. Monsanto officials have asked to meet with WHO and IARC members, and Miller said the company wants a retraction.
