CVS's most recent trend suggests a bullish bias. One trading opportunity on CVS is a Bull Put Spread using a strike $77.50 short put and a strike $72.50 long put offers a potential 11.11% return on risk over the next 37 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bull Put Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were above $77.50 by expiration. The full premium credit of $0.50 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $4.50 would be incurred if the stock dropped below the $72.50 long put strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the short-term momentum for CVS is bullish and the probability of a rise in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the medium-term momentum for CVS is bullish.
The RSI indicator is at 51.09 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

CVS/pharmacy Consumer Survey Finds Three in Five Americans are Unaware of the Importance of the High Dose Flu Vaccine in Senior Flu Prevention

PR Newswire – WOONSOCKET, R.I., Aug. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — A new survey from CVS/pharmacy released today found that three in five U.S. adults (61 percent) are unaware of the importance of the high dose flu vaccine in flu prevention for adults 65 years and older. The high dose vaccine contains four times the antigens as the regular flu vaccine and is intended to create a stronger immune response for seniors, who are at greater risk of developing severe flu-related illnesses. According to a survey conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Poll on behalf of CVS/pharmacy in July 2014 among over 2,000 U.S. adults ages 18+, nearly one in three (30 percent) Americans have a role in helping an elderly family member or loved one aged 65 years or older make healthcare decisions, reinforcing the importance of the general population to be aware of the availability of the high dose flu vaccine. “Getting an annual flu shot is the best way to help prevent the spread of influenza, especially for seniors who are more susceptible to developing complications from the flu,” said Papatya Tankut, RPh, Vice President of Pharmacy Affairs, CVS Caremark.
