Nasdaq Analysis 7-2-10

The markets continued its' bearish move this week and broke some significant support levels. It appears that some buyers have begun to step in at this level but it is difficult to say if there is enough to stave off this bearish freight train. Thursday we put in a hammer in most of the indexes and we needed confirmation to the upside to validate that signal which we did not get today. Volume was light on Friday which is to be expected ahead of a three day weekend and we put in a very indecisive trading day. Earnings season is almost upon us and it will be interesting to see if we get some surprises that bring back the bulls. Jobs continue to disappoint, so we need some good news to drive the market.
